Introduction - Module 4
In this third module of the specialization
course on AI: “Assessments with AI”, I’ve gained a deeper understanding of how
artificial intelligence can transform the way we create and deliver formative
and summative assessments. I had previously been introduced to some AI
applications in earlier modules, but this module has really solidified how they
can be used to focus on students' needs and create more effective assessments.
I have explored a variety of AI tools such as ChatGPT, Copilot, Gemini, Magic
School, Brisk, Quizalize, Kahoot, Question Well, and Quizizz, all of which have
opened up new possibilities in adapting assessments that address my students'
weak areas in English. These tools have not only simplified the assessment
creation process but also allowed me to better understand and respond to the
diverse needs of my students. There were a few new tools to work with in this
module, but I realized all the functions of the previous tools studied that we
were still missing. It was really exciting to discover how far AI can go with
an appropriate use, and I enjoyed expanding my skills by learning to create
tasks that I had never done such as rubrics, checklists, or summative
assessments. I think that I have grown a lot since I started the course, and I
think that I have become a better teacher than I was before. All the content
studied during this course has helped me go deeper when focusing on my
students’ needs.
Hi Anderson!
