Introduction to Module 2
When I began this second module, I was anxious
about which new tools I was going to know to improve my teaching skills. The
first module introduced me to this new world that is Artificial Intelligence
and all the things I can use by using AI. Having a basic idea to work by using
these tools, it is kind of easier to implement the use of technological tools
to make teaching more effective and dynamic. I think I have improved my
comprehension of AI, and I have realized that AI has come to be a teacher’s
assistant to go further when experiencing new ideas and new ways to integrate technology
into the teaching methodology. Therefore, my expectations of this new module were
bigger than with the previous one because I already had an idea of what AI could
do. For example, I got excited when I realized that we were going to work on
the creation of authentic material since I always struggled to create my
teaching material. I always got blocked when I created my teaching material due
to the lack of creativity, and sometimes I repeated some activities only with
some modifications. Afterward, I started to feel eager to study this new
content and to learn all the new tools the teacher had to show us. I consider
that this second module brought many different tools that can help us, and all
the expectations I had were accomplished because I learned how to use different
tools that I never thought existed. Even though I think that I still have to
manage these tools appropriately, I know that it is only a matter of practice.
Likewise, I feel very satisfied with what we have done during this module, but
at the same time, I feel anxious to continue discovering how to take advantage
of tools such as Zeno Chat, Elsa Speak, Grammarly, ChatGPT, Poe, Cody, and many
other that have given us a great experience when creating authentic material. These tools not only can be applied to improve
the Receptive Language Skills but also the Productive Language skills. There is
no doubt that AI has come to make not only teachers’ lives easier but people’s
lives in general. However, it is very necessary to use it responsibly just in
areas we can manage since AI is not perfect, and we need to be prepared to
identify its mistakes to have a better experience when using it. I still have
many expectations about how can I improve my comprehension and implementation
of these amazing tools. We finished this module, and I just feel we are on the
tip of the iceberg because everything that comes is going to give us a better
experience and knowledge to enrich the development of our teaching skills.
I like your blog, let tell you the integration of AI has not only reduced the time spent on repetitive tasks but also allowed for the creation of more effective and personalized lessons. The concepts of design, effectiveness, creation, and projects are well covered, demonstrating how AI enhances each aspect of the educational process. Overall, the blog provides a good summary of this modulle.
